audio and video out-of-sync (1 Viewer)

I've been noticing a problem in my system where the audio and video are slightly out of sync. This occurs if I am watching things from tivo or off of a DVD.

The setup is:

Video: DVD Player -> (component video) -> Reciever (Onkyo 656) -> (component video) -> TV

Audio: DVD Player -> (coax) -> Reciever (-> Speakers)

Any suggestions on how to fix this, or what to look for? It's _really_ annoying!

If your TV has a built-in doubler/scaler, you will need to introduce a delay on the receiver.

Otherwise, it could just be that the DVD player has A/V sync issues; in which case you'll need to replace it.
