My year and a half old Yamaha HTR-5460 has developed an audible his in the stereo channels when using any digital source. I've changed optical cables, cleaned the ports with clean CO2 out of a can, and changed whatever else I could think of that was cheap or free. However, when using the DD decoder in my Yamaha S1200 and using the analog connections the problem goes away. I have surmounted that the DAC's have acquired some sort of problem. Is there any recourse for this problem other than buying a new receiver or just using the analog inputs? I don't have much money to spend on a replacement at the present time. I'd like to get another Yamaha or possibly a Denon or HK. Anyone have something they want to sell for cheap. Thanks.
