I am facing the strong possibility that I'll need to position my A/V stand and components approx. 8' from my widescreen rear projection television. I can run dedicated power and cable outlets to the stand, but would like to find something that will encase the audio/visual cables that need to connect back to the television. I am assuming I'll run them along the baseboard, then bend 90 degrees at the appropriate location behind the television.

Do they make any type of electrical conduit for residential applications that is meant to look a little more attractive than standard commercial grade conduit?

you could always run your cables through some Techflex, I think thats what I would do. If you do a search in the forums for it, you'll undoubtedly find some good places to purchase online.

Asthetics are very subjective, but Home Depot carries some platic conduit that snaps together. It has 90 degree elbows. You can always paint it the color of the background.
