I just received an e-mail from movieposter.com alerting me that the Attack of the Clones poster was avaiable for purchase. Wow I was disappointed, very plain and uninteresting [IMG]. I was hoping for a poster as thought provoking as the poster of Anakin in the desert with his shadow cast as Vader.
Go check out the poster and let me know what you think. I have high hopes for the movie though.

Yup. Thanks for posting it. Can you believe they want 50 bucks for a one sided version and $100 for a two-sided version?

The price for original Star Wars posters always gets jacked up, 'cause people will pay it. That poster has been available in the U.S. for a while now, and it usually goes for more.

    Reprints are usually much cheaper.

I bought this from the SW Fanclub last november for 18 bucks if I remember correctly. While it's nothing to write home about, I like it's simple design.

    Matt

I'd be interested to know the quality of the poster paper used on the one you purchased?

    Les,

I'm no poster quality expert, but this is the same paper quality as all of my other 1-sheets. Thicker than that mass-market crap...but not vinyl or anything.

As for the prices...I remember a similar pricing situation with the Version A poster of Episode 1 (Anakin with Vader Shadow). It was available for a couple days at the Fanclub, and then bam...it was going for like 200 on eBay. Like Tom said...prices will drop after AotC is released at theaters.

Well - that's humourously phallic, considering the tagline.

There should be more verions of the AOTC coming in a month or so. I was just telling someone with the movie a little over 2 months away it sure is quiet out there. In the next threes week or so the merchandising machine will start to run out of control.

If you put a thought balloon for Anakin that said "Schwing!" then the phallusy would come full circle. [IMG]

Isn't that the teaser poster and not the official movie poster that will come out a few weeks before the film? This poster has been out for a while now.

Yah, I know...it's just the (Version A) Teaser.

If I remember correctly the (Version B) Final version came out in mid-March for E1.

Is it just me or does Natalie look like a Flamenco dancer? All she needs is a rose between her teeth. This poster gives the impression of an overwrought teen romance gone bad on a planet far far away. Hopefully it will be so far away I won't ever have to see it.

Teaser poster is available at Suncoast for $14.99, that's where I picked up mine.

I think the image is quite effective. EPI had the Vader shadow, this one has the red saber, EPIII he becomes Vader. Seems like a natural progression.

Was the one at Suncoast the real 1-Sheet (27x41)? If so, that's a pretty good deal.
