So check this out: with all this talk of Star Trek X and the new Star Trek II DVD I had been thinking lately of picking up some of the Star Trek movies on DVD. I went so far as to visit a used DVD store near my office specifically with a view to grabbing First Contact and whatever else I could find. Thankfully, I didn't find anything. Know why? Check my DVD collection! I have so many DVDs -- most of them unwatched -- that I don't even remember what the hell I own anymore! It doesn't help that I lack proper storage space and thus can't even SEE about one-third of them without some effort.

    Dumb dumb dumb.

First off, let me say your self-hatred is impressive. [IMG]
But I'm sure that most people with sizeable collection have had those moments where we temporarily forget what movies they own. It's no biggie.

I have a sizeable CD collection, which I keep segregated for humiliation's sake, consisting entirely of my father's doubled-up CD purchases. He can never remember what he bought, and when it catches his eye again, in the shopping cart it goes again.*

    * - We go to a lot of flea markets and 'unclaimed freight' stores, where the picking is catch-as-catch can, so its not like he picks the same disc up at Best Buy twice or anything.

Mike if you're that bad about your DVD collection I'd hate to see the rest of your house

Guess this would be a good thread to mention DVDProfiler in, huh?
I only have ~160 DVDs, but it sure keeps me organized.

I must agree with Jon's statement above. Although I am sure the author was not trying to offend, the title of this thread is in poor taste.
