article from Sound & Vision about watts?

    That's sweet. Be nice if they had the dBW numbers that S&V also promotes for comparing power between different components. I seem to remember that S&V says say that even though power levels can vary wildy between different receivers, that they think the dBW number (which does vary less between different receivers of similar power) is more important in a real room with real speakers. Something like that anyway. [​IMG]

    Yes I pay more attention to the dbW number than the true wattage measurements. That really equates to how loud you can play in terms of SPL. Its a better number IMHO.
