Art House Essentials: BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (1 Viewer)

Ducked into Best Buy today and noticed this on the shelf. Came home and checked online and I see this came out Sept. 8th. Is this a single disc release of the Criterion re-release? I know Criterion's involved, 'cause their logo was on the back (they're listed as the studio at amazon.com too). Anybody know anything?

They were not sent for review, but I believe that's just what they are.

The Criterion Reissue was also a single disc. Its possible this is a single disc repackaging of the Janus 50 Years box set edition (which has no extras).

Where did the transfer on the Janus 50 Years box set come from? Is it the same as the Criterion re-issue?

I've got the original Criterion disc, but would be interested in the Art House Essentials release if it's the same transfer as utilized on the Criterion re-issue.
