I did not see this pre-order until it was sold out. I have the previous 4k UHD from Shout! It will be interesting to learn if there is any difference between the US version and this new Arrow edition. I thought the 4K from Shout looked great.

Arrow has been putting out a lot titles recently after their US releases.

Arrow Video has the 116 minute International Cut included as a 4K disc, the Shout! Factory only had it as a blu-ray.

Peter, thanks for the heads-up! I’ve never ordered from Orbit before. I thought they are a European company, I see they are US based. At any rate, thanks for the heads-up. I just ordered from Orbit. .

I don’t think having the international cut in 4K will make me enjoy the movie any more. But I am curious how it looks. And I don’t mind having another copy in my library. I’ve already have the Arrow and Kino 4K of The Great Escape. I’m in for a penny…

I am perfectly fine with seeing the 116-minute cut of this utterly preposterous yet mysteriously entertaining film rather than 128 minutes of it. It's not like Tobe Hooper is Scorcese, or even Michael Winner!

I like his Charles Bronson movies but even on his best day, Michael Winner didn't come anywhere near to something as great as The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. Granted, Lifeforce is a long way from TCM. Hell, Lifeforce is a long way from Eaten Alive or The Funhouse.

Doesn’t seem like apples to apples if the split screen shows a blu ray on one side and the Arrow UHD on the other. But I get that they wanted to compare the same cut of the film. I can see some sharpness improvement and what looks like film grain on the UHD.
