I found this to be the worst of the main ten F13 movies after going through Shout's Blu box, despite two of the most disgusting (and uh, interesting?) gore scenes. My overall evaluation of the series can be defined by me putting the box set for sale the day after I watched Jason X. It's been rumored they also have that, which I found to be a lot of fun and my personal favorite of the series. These are not my taste, but good for the horror fans since I'd imagine this is going to be an A+ release and will make fans happy.

The Blu-ray that was included in the Shout! box set was already pretty stacked with extras and had good (enough for this movie, anyway) A/V specs, so I'm curious to see what Arrow will add to the mix in order to convince me I need another copy of Jason Goes to Hell in my collection.

I’m one of the small handful of F13 fans who REALLY digs this movie. But yeah, not sure what the incentive here is to upgrade. The shout blu-ray from the big box set is great, AND there’s a new documentary coming out this year that allegedly will be released on disc by itself. So, yeah, I’ll read the spec list of whatever this release has, but it’s gonna take something special for be to splurge on the upgrade.

For me, the worst of the series is a toss-up between this and Jason X. JX has the occasional funny joke but at least JGTH is on earth and has a scene at a summer camp.

Anyway, I look forward to purchasing this terrible movie for the sixth(?) time.

I thought this was an improvement over the last few entries. Jason X is the pits IMHO. Still no real reason to upgrade also IMHO. I have that F13 set too which is just fine !

I must be crazy. I went ahead and pre-ordered both JGTH and JX. Lol! These look like great releases and I think they’re both underrated entries in the series.

If you don't have the Shout! box set, these sound like great releases.

Arrow did a terrific job with their release of the 2009 F13 remake, and it was a substantial upgrade over the original New Line disc that was included in the Shout! box, so it was easier for me to justify the purchase.

In terms of bonus features, these new JGTH and JX releases are almost identical to what was included in the Shout! box (each has a new commentary track and a couple of new interviews). I don't feel a burning desire to own either on 4K, so I think I'll sit these out.

I wonder if an upgraded Freddy vs. Jason is in the works.
