Posters on the forum of another site offer a trick to play the Region B extras disc, and it works on my Panny UB9000. When you get the wrong-region screen, press STOP. Then press a one- or two-digit NUMBER between 1 and 23, inclusive, and then OK. The disc will take you to an extra. To go to a different extra, press STOP and enter a different number. The only exceptions are single-digit 2 and 3 (12 and 13 are OK).
I’ll have to give that a try. Thanks.

But it’s not wallet friendly….exchange program for those swindled by the kino 4k release???

I sold all three Kinos on Ebay for $35 when the Arrows were announced. I knew these were surely coming so I should have sold them sooner. But considering what I got for the Kino 4K slip cover of The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, I came out well ahead as an 'exchange'.

I may just wait for the next release in a few months from now. It’s only a matter of time.

I've been following that thread & saw that. Still kind of a pain but at least I can watch it on my bedroom player which is a 420.

And since it hasn't been posted here, there's also a couple of Easter eggs. When the Play English Version is highlighted push the right arrow on the directional pad & you can play the TV prologue with it.
Also in the trailer gallery push up from the Italian Theatrical Trailer & there's some unused text overlays for a couple uncompleted re-release trailers.

Love the fact that you can play the television prologue. Watched it on the disc a few days back, yes it’s terrible, but also kinda fascinating…

Yes, this does work with one difference for me on the 420: numbers 1 & 2 do nothing, number 3 brings up the "Region B" warning screen. Interesting workaround. Need a screenshot. of the extras menu now. :)

i just bought For a Few Dollors More and A Fistfull of Dollars Kino 4K with slip covers still in shrink wrap on eBay for $25 and $30. I see The Good, the Bad and the Ugly with slipcover is hard to find. Maybe someone here will sell me one? :). I figure I’ll grab the Kinos and then the 4K Arrows if the reviews are good.

You could have saved some money and just bought all three during one of Kino's sales which will most likely happen next month.

Hey Robert, thanks for that heads-up. I didn’t know there’s an upcoming Kino sale. I was willing to go this route because of the silly slipcase, for a few dollars more. :) They no longer have the slipcase.

I would like some commentary on A Fistful Of Dollars. I have 11 copies, some of which have been passed down to my sons. I have a foreign version of A Fistful Of Dollars that INCLUDES the Baxter's at the Dinner with the Rojos and very uncomfortable that scene is. One of the sons is ready to take something to eat and the mother walks up to him and takes it out of his hand while all the yelling drinking and craziness of the Rojos goes on in the background. This scene has not been included in any other Blu-ray I have. I'm going to borrow it back from my son today to rewatch. In the meantime, a splendid job from Arrow on this release.

I nominate you to record a commentary on the 11 copies! I would listen to it!

I have bought these films many times but I try and wait for new formats or / “improved” transfers…

This counts the video tapes, laser discs and some different covers also!

The Tobis Blu ray is the MOST COMPLETE version of For A Few Dollars More I have ever seen. I do not want to throw Kino out the window as they have and are still giving us wonderful titles, film poster covers and great work. Osato is right (you should give up smoking, cigarettes are very bad for your chest!) when he says the video tapes and dvds still have the most original color per comparison with my friends 35's. The Arrow is slightly darker as I stated last week, but an incredible transfer!

My Arrow 4K/UHD finally arrived today. Which version should I watch first, the Italian or American versions?

It was a rhetorical question because of my hatred for dubbing.
I hate dubbing as well. Even though most (if not all) Italian films are dubbed in post-production, the Italian industry has excellent actors do the dubbing, which doesn't seem to be the case with American dubbing practices. Yes, I miss the Anglo speakers' voices, but the rest of the actors just sound atrocious.

When I watch a Clint Eastwood movie, I want to hear Clint Eastwood’s voice.

Great looking 4K/UHD! Time to do some comparisons with the Kino 4K/UHD.

But the dubbed male voices for Clint Eastwood in these westerns or Sean Connery in James Bond films is always very strong and fitting. I have seen many foreign Sean Connery Bonds in different languages.

So? I want to hear Clint’s voice. The same with Connery’s voice. I don’t like dubbed voices for the lead actor. You’re fine with it, I’m not. It’s one of the reasons why I don’t like The Leopard as much as some other people. We all have preferences.
