In all probability, the same masters that Kino had (see The Great Escape) but with Fidelity In Motion encoding and some new supplements + booklets. The 5.1 soundtracks will probably sound just as horrible, as the Kino ones. Desirable for many collectors, but not for the Home Theatre Forum members, who tend to be the most vocal. ;)

I have never ordered from the Arrow UK site. A couple of questions for those who have:

1. The 2nd disc of extras is a BD. From past experience, will this be region locked?
2. These are two disc limited editions. In the US, Arrow quite often follows up limited editions with a less expense standard edition several months later. Does that happen with the UK division, or will these probably be the only releases?

If it's from Arrow UK the BDs containing the extras are 99.9% Region locked.
They release standard releases in the UK once the Limited sells out.

Orbit DVD put up their preorder around 11am. If your order was just these comes to $106.97(free shipping) but won't ship until all 3 are released & they charge you now.

I hope Arrow doesn't cancel my order like they did with some earlier orders.
I've previously had problems with Arrow suddenly claiming that my credit card is not approved, just before they were due to ship a pre-ordered title. However, I switched to PayPal for my method of payment and since then have had no issues with them.

After The Cell DC issue & some legacy extras from Inglorious Basterds not playing on Panasonic players hopefully there won't be any QC issues w/ these releases.

I cancelled my Arrow website order and ordered all three from Rarewaves. Taking advantage of a 10% off code good until tomorrow, I paid $103.36, including shipping to the U.S.

My order with Orbit came to $106.97 shipped. I don't mind waiting and having them ship all three together when the last is released. How many times have I seen these films? I've lost count. :emoji_stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I'm fine with the film versions I already have but the extra do make this an intriguing proposition.

I may as well just wait for a standard releases then, since the BD of extras is region locked. I do not have a region-free player, so no sense paying for the extras if I cannot watch them. I have the Kino 4K releases, so am in no hurry.

I'm assuming they have this policy as they are a very small company and purchase X amount of copies with the intent of selling to those pre-ordering customers...and don't want to get stuck with extra copies from those who cancel? I'm only guessing.

Did my pre-orders on the BRD editions through Rarewaves to save a few shekels, and grabbed the Arrow release of One-Eyed Jacks along with them. If I'm gonna double/triple dip on the Dollars Trilogy (I've got the old MGM and KLSC releases), I might as well triple-dip on Brando's western opus, too (after Criterion and Imprint).
