This is getting out of hand! And this coming from a guy that owns four different version of this on DVD and two on Laserdisc! I can't believe there is anything new we haven't seen already.

I apologize ahead of time, but I'm a little bored.

    What's the difference between these:

Anchor Bay Director's Cut Limited Edition
Anchor Bay Director's Cut Bootleg Edition

Limited Edition DC is numbered (out of 40,000) and has prettier packaging... otherwise they are the same disc.

It was rumored that there was going to be a DTS-ES track (from the Region 2 Anchor Bay release)... but seeing that Full Frame version still on there, I doubt that there will be (it's probably the same disc, why remaster?).

    Greg_Y,

Sorry, I just checked Anchor Bays site and they don't mention the audio.

According to DVDManiacs, this is simply a repackaging of the two already available Anchor Bay versions of Army of Darkness--the theatrical version and the bootleg/director's cut disc.

For the record, there are three DVDs versions available:

    1. Universal's barebones version (the theatrical cut).

    2. Anchor Bay's special edition of the theatrical cut, available separately, on the original Limited Edition, and on the new Boomstick Edition.

    3. Anchor Bay's release of the original director's cut, available as the Bootleg Edition, the limited Director's Cut, the original Limited Edition, and the new Boomstick Edition.

Prices will eventually go down if you wait almost 4 years after the original release of the same DVD [IMG]
