That is what I meant Damin.

The Universal Home Video release is not THX Certified and is 4x3 letterbox at 1.85:1. The Anchor Bay releases of both the Universal Pictures version and Director's Cut version are 16x9 widescreen at 1.66:1 and the Universal Pictures version is THX Certified.

THX lost all credibility with me when they started approving Pan & Scan transfers.

But, as far as DVDs go, if I were a studio, I would send my people to learn what it takes to earn the certification and have them apply it without paying for the license.

THX means nothing to me software wise. Show me a A/V component that is THX and I'm a little more impressed.

BTW, I own all versions of Army of Darkness and the R3 is the best one videowise. I'm still happy to have the Anchor Bay release though.
