I have been looking to upgrade my current two speaker setup. I had my Yamaha 590 receiver fry on me, so I am now wanting a complete overhaul. I recently bought some JBL speakers (2-MR26, 2-MR25, and MR center). I bought them on impulse, however cheaply. So are they decent or should I turn around sell them myself. As I mentioned before I don't have a receiver to try them out. Thanks
As I have previously mentioned I am in the market for a receiver maybe-Marantz 6200,Yamaha rxv800,Denon 2802,Pioneer elite 33,35. I am also planning to get a DVD player and a sub somewhere down the road. However I will probably be using my VCR for awhile, so PrologicII might be a good avenue to take.

What is your budget? Are you looking for a 5 speaker setup + external sub? Will you be using this system exclusively for Home Theater?

I will be using my setup about 50%-HT 50%-music. I started out just looking for a receiver but came across these speakers for sale. It's a five peace JBL set without a sub, so if could use these and get a sub later that would be great. I know it sounds pretty stupid not just listen for my self but I can't. I am asking you guys because I don't want to miss any better deals.
I was wondering about Marantz receivers, I heard all the gossip about their overated amps. Are they as bad as everybody is saying? Funny there prices are starting to fall. So if they are decent and just got some bad pubilcity nows maybe the time to buy. (or not)
Where can I find specs on the new sony es models?
