As some DVDs are released without English subtitles I am somtimes forced to use the Closed Captions feature on my TV. I would also like to upgrade to a projector in the future and wondering if any projectors supports closed captions? Otherwise, what choice do I have? To use a PC with DVD software? I assume there are no DVD players that can enable closed captions either?

Maybe someone knows the answer to this question by now. I was looking at projectors Thursday and that's the one thing no one could tell me. Decoder circuitry (the pics I've seen) is fairly small and might fit in a projector. Cable TV boxes could have it. You can buy a CC decoder for about $100. They usually have composite connectors and you could figure out a way to make the DVD player-decoder-projector combo work.
