Are there different versions of the Star Wars Episode 1 DVD? (1 Viewer)

When the Episode 1 DVD was first released last year I rented it and watched it, in the Deleted Scenes Documentary

there were short snippets of deleted scenes within the Documentary itself (I'm not referring to the seven full length deleted scenes) One of these short snippets of deleted scenes shows Obi-Wan doing a back flip off a wall while he and Qui-Gon is dueling Darth Maul. Also in the still picture Gallery on the DVD there are photos of this also. Now just recently I purchased the Episode 1 DVD and I watched all the way through the Deleted Scenes Documentary and I can not find that scence were Obi-Wan does a back flip off a wall during the duel anywere within the Documentary. I may be wrong about this but I remember seeing this scene the first time I viewed the Episode 1 DVD

last year but in this recently purchased Episode 1 DVD that I have this scene is not there. Could you Episode 1 DVD owners please check and see if this scene is on your DVD and leave me a reply. Thank you.

well i picked up my copy the day it came out and its there.. i remember there being a big debate about the scences and if they would show up again. then there was some rumor about a third disk with those scenes on it and blah blah.. but as far as them taking those out of the doc i didn't hear about that.. all i can say is switch out the disc with a friend

Matt thanks for the reply, Can you tell me which section of the disc that this scene is on, I always thought that I seen it in the Deleted Scenes Documentary. I posted this same Topic over at the Force.net's Boards and so far all the replys I have gotten say this scene is no were on the DVD, although there are photos of the scene in the Still Picture Gallery section on the DVD.

I think the Japanese laser edition is the only original version out there. The DVD has been altered by Lucas.

Have you tried hunting the net for Easter Eggs on the disc? Perhaps they're there, but just hidden (EE's annoy the hell out of me, btw).

All the other deleted scenes are on the DVD-ROM accessible web site. They couldn't fit them on the disc :frowning:
I too wish Lucas would produce a 3rd disc with them on it
