Are you looking for 720p or 1080p content? Not exactly a sampler, but thought I'd throw it out there. Here's a link with all kinds of short high definition clips, all avaliable to download for free. You'll need Windows Media player to watch these.

I think they mean a HD-DVD disc with movie trailers on it and not just HD trailers because anyone can get HD trailers nowadays. Apple has been releasing HD movie trailers for a long time now.

if you have HD cable, you can subscribe to HDnet, they have a halfhour show called "nothing but trailers".

Thanks Sam but I was hoping for another way other then bringing the PC to the TV and getting a videocard with component out.

Do you know a way to burn it to disc in HD? like as a Divx or something?

Well, yes. If your DVD player can play HD MPEG-4, you can make divx/xvid files of the quicktime files and burn them to CD-R/DVD-R.

Better yet, make your own HD DVDs on cheap DVD blanks.

making an HD-DVD on a regular DVD-R sounds cool.

out of curiosity, are there any NON-DH-DVD players that can read HD MPEG-4? Is there a Divx player out there that can palyback an HD Divx file?

well maybe, but you will be still limited by PAL/NTSC output from such player

Say, there is a significant number of trailers in 1080p and 720p in VC-1 on the HD-DVD site. The UI is a pain in the butt, so this also works:

I've downloaded most of them and they look superb. They aren't perfect though, but they do look very very good, they aren't hand-tuned though like HD-DVD is.

so the only chance as I did before I've got HD player
was to hook my PC to my samsung 40" lcd TV to watch HD stuff from trailers to some recorded HD stuff from satellite.....

it's pity, I don't have time now to make HD-DVD disk (recorded on standart DVD medium) with trailers..... :frowning:

huh? They're encoded with VC-1(WM9). They are not MPEG2. The apple hi-def stuff is h.264.
