Are there any Dolby Vision 60fps that also supports 3D? (1 Viewer)

Oops. My mistake. I hadn't realized that actual holographic technology was entering into the 3D market. I honestly don't think this will have any compatibility with stereoscopy.

Yeah, it caught me by surprise. I started reading about it late Spring/ early Summer, and since then there has been more, and more buzz about it. I honestly don't think it will be consumer friendly for at least another 5 years--if it happens at all.

We will see.

Even if the tech happens the consumer has voted strongly that they do not care about 3d in big enough numbers to make a difference. HDR and pixel quality is king right now, over resolution itself and gimmicks like 3d.

Well if it isn't glasses based I think it is much less a gimmick. I mean even hardware like the Nintendo 3DS (glasses free) which no one even wanted...until it was released, turned out to be the best selling handheld ever made.

I think consumers are in the hands of the display technology, and the manufacturers that push them. If it fails like curved screen TV's, then that will be it, but if it succeeds then we are looking at the next big jump since SD to HD TV. But I'm sure if it does succeed ""flat" display will always be available.
