over the titans? keep in mind im no home audiophile. currently im using my old(5 years) aiwa htb surround and center and a paradigm pw2200 sub. im thinking of titans for 198 for fronts/backs but the sales guy said the monitors are way better.

I'd say go with Minis up front and Titans for surrounds. It worked great for me, and I eventually moved to 5s up front. Unless you listen to a lot of multichannel music, you probably wouldn't notice the difference for surrounds, but as mains, I'd opt for the Minis. The only problem might be that you will also want the CC-370 center to match the Minis up front. If you want to step up from the Minis, I'd go straight to the Monitor 5s rather than the 3s.
