Are Bose drivers any good for a DIY project? (1 Viewer)

Yeah, I know all of the rhetoric about Bose, so we don't need to go into that. However, I am planning on replacing my Bose 301 speakers sometime soon (hey, they were the right price when I bought them).
My question is this: If I go into a DIY project, can I use the drivers for the Bose 301 speakers, or should I just dispose of them, and invest the 25 cents into new drivers?
Thanks for any and all input.

You would need to know the T/S parameters of the drivers. Bose definately wont give them out. It would be possible to measure them..
I'm pretty sure Bose didnt use them when designing the speakers anyway :D
I would buy something decent. Pretty much anything from a reputable manufacturer (vifa etc etc) will slaughter anything Bose uses.
