I've been listening to piano player Arcadi Volodos lately. He seems to be quite popular in the classical world these days.
Right now I'm listening to his Live at Carnegie Hall CD. He plays Liszt and Schumann. He has a very good command of the slower material and can play with emotion but not sentimentality- classic Russian style.
He also has a couple of SACDs out, including a performance of my favorite piano piece of all time, Rachmaninoff's 3rd piano concerto. Highly recommended.
