    Hello,

I am interested in building a 5.1 or 7.1 system using AR17s and an AR4C. My question is what provisions do the AR17s have for wall mounting? I can't find the manual online anywhere. Does anyone have a similar setup? If so, what is your opinion of it?

    Thanks for your help,
    Derek

    Derek-

Do you have a source for purchasing the AR-17's and the AR4c? They are a little hard to come by.

    Thanks

    Dereck,

I run AR 216PS's as my rear surrounds and they are about
the same dimensions and weight as the AR15 and AR17 (25Lbs
    each).

I had to use B-Tech Glass Reinforced Nylon Heavy Duty wall
mout brackets since they are so heavy. The B-Tech's are
sweet they can pan side to side and tilt up and down for
perfect positioning. I think I bought them from Crutchfield
and paid too much money... Check www.partsexpress.com and
see what they have.. Remember you need something to support
    at least 25 pounds.

The brackets I use, screw into the backs of the speakers..
That may be a non selling point for you.. If it is, I think
Parts Express carries brackets that "Clamp" onto the speakers
and that should be fine, non marring...

    Scott,

Check etronics for the ar17s. I found the ar4c at shopsunshine.com. I don't know anything about shopsunshine.com, just that they seem to have the ar4c in stock.

    Brett,

Do you know if the ar17's have threaded inserts in the back to accomodate mounts?

    Thanks again,
    Derek

    Brett,
You are right on that...I used short screws so I would do the least harm on my AR17's.
