Well, it was my daughters 11th b-day. And she wanted to see this. So I took her 4 of her friends and my 8yr old daughter. I got the obligatory "Your a brave man" or "Your a good Dad for taking her to see this" from the ticket taker, the manager and 3 or 4 other Mom's in the audience.
Anyway, Here is my review...2 versions.
(For anyone under 16)
You will really enjoy it. The kids in my group and some other girls(who were around 13-14) in another row all liked it and are hoping for Aquamarine 2.
(For anyone over 16)
It ain't Splash. Their's no Tom Hanks or John Candy. The girl who plays the mermaid is very cute. But, unless your kids want to see it or you have a love of anything mermaids....Don't bother. It was cute....But, not enough to pay money for.
That being said...I am sure I will have to buy it when it comes out on dvd.
Over 16 score... :star: 1/2
Under 16 score... :star: :star: :star: :star:
Out of five.
