The first of course is When a Stranger Calls (1979) – based upon Walton’s 1977 short film The Sitter – which is noted for its intense opening 23 minutes and considered as one of the scariest openings in film history. Previously released on DVD by Paramount and Blu-ray by Shout Factory – through their Scream Factory label – Kino has licensed the movie for its UHD Blu-ray debut.
