I use harmony remotes for all three HT setups and no problems with AppleTV.
This would be a dealbreaker for me. The Plex app on my nVidia Shield does a superb job of streaming my full bitrate Blu-ray rips. The new ATV is a non-starter if it can't do the same.
Needs Amazon UHD/HDR, Netflix UHD/HDR and confirmed 24hz output before I buy.
Could be a game changer for getting me into streaming new release movies.
Looks like all eligible titles have already been updated! (can see it on the ATV 4)
It was a pleasant surprise to see Clise Encounters in 4K and Dolby Vision!
Now to get up at 2am to pre-order the ATV 4K
Think it would be fine to order tomorrow morning instead of having to do it in the middle of the night?
Yes, if anything I'm sure the 64GB version will be still available...
Well Apple definitely followed through on their promise. Looking at my iTunes library I see that a shitload of titles upgraded to 4K ownership for me. This means that even digital copy redemptions are upgraded to 4K as well. The studios are probably going to fight this, because if you can purchase a regular Blu-ray with an iTunes code that converts to 4K, some people will choose not to pay extra for a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disc, not to mention that since iTunes isn't charging a premium for 4K content it's going to put other digital providers at a disadvantage.
Where are you seeing this? I have the latest Apple TV and I don't see any of my films listed as 4k?
I didn't see it changed when Cranston originally said that but at least the DCEU and X-Men series movies are changed for me now. Maybe they are rolling out the changes right now and they aren't finished for everyone yet.
I see a bunch of titles in 4K now. Thanks.
64GB has already slipped to shipping in 2-3 weeks...
I'm going to get this unit, but I'm not in hurry.
2 OTW, Are you only seeing the 4K versions via ATV or can you see it on iPad/iPhone?
Yeah I went with the 64GB. It's only a $20 difference, and while I'm sure there won't be a discernible difference with 32GB, it's going on my main TV and I want to make sure that I am as happy with that as possible...
iOS devices as well
Baby Driver only shows HD to me...
Yeah, I just finished ordering the same unit.
I'll be buying that 4K/UHD disc as I simply love that film.
I've got the disk OTW but I wanted this movie to be the first I saw on the 4K Apple TV. Is it showing 4k for you guys? Gimme a couple titles that ARE showing 4k for you and I will check my devices.
