Yup! Read the news early this morning

So, most likely, no press release today and an event in exactly one week with an official announcement in a few hours, most likely.

I love that the rumor industrial complex has got folks in such a tizzy. Like you all I want it all, new Apple TV, iMac, iPad Pro and a glucose sensing Apple Watch. I don’t expect half of what I want. And I expect things I’m not expecting too :)

From every article I have read, confidence is very high that iMacs will be announced next week

30" iMacs or just 24" entry-level iMacs?

Unknown.

However, the rumors point to the larger iMacs. However, I suspect that this is going to be a single product announcement for the new iMac lineup and it will consist of entry-level on up to the new mega-sized screens (whatever that may be).

My gut is that they will cater the selection to casual on up to professional users. So many sizes and of course, colors.

That's my best guess. None of the articles point to anything specific.

Hopefully, just in time for me to buy another 4K streaming STB -- I might even welcome whatever new/better gaming capabilities given my apparently, suddenly new circumstance...

What a Debbie Downer

Really bad article. The problem is usually good old fashioned advertising, which is much more difficult to avoid. Every NY Times podcast is absolutely flooded by Facebook ads -- if only Times columnists had something negative to say about their own cash cows.

What makes even less sense than the Apple attack, who at least does do conventional advertising, is this column aim at Tesla, who does no regular advertising whatsoever. Their EVs should remain an absolute secret?

Indeed that may be the problem -- what the Times is really complaining about is Tech companies, other than Facebook (and probably Microsoft and Spotify) are not buying ads from The NY Times... instead ending up with unpaid articles about themselves. Very annoying to The NY Times' budget.

I don’t really follow rumors the last week or so before an event. But I do enjoy the Upgrade Draft podcast the week before an event. :)
Emergency draft! In this bonus episode, Jason and Myke predict what will happen at Tuesday’s Apple media event. Will there be new iPad Pro models, and if so, will new accessories accompany them? Will we finally see a new iMac design? What other unexpected announcements might await us?
