I have iTunes on my iMac. I have iTunes on my Windows HTPC. Is there any way to keep their metadata in sync, particularly ratings?
I've imported the music. Home Sharing is supposed to sync play counts. But ratings, I can't find any way to synchronize this. I'm relegated to manually transcribing all my ratings over to the new iTunes library. But then, I'll lose sync as I add more ratings. (I tried the trick of importing the Library.xml file to import the ratings to start, but that wasn't completely successful and caused new problems, and it doesn't solve the syncing problem either.)
Will the Music or Match or whatever service sync libraries and metadata between two computers? Can I sign up for just a month to get them synced, and then sign up for a month every once in a while to re-sync?
