I hadn't updated my DNRed-to-death Blu-ray since I have the HD-DVD and had been watching that when I wanted to see the movie, but this will be a must-buy because I do think the movie is a great one worth having in the best quality available.

I am eager to see this film again not having watching it in a year or two, and I took my HD-DVD off the shelf and then remembered it was coming out in 4K so I held off on my rewatch until I buy this disc.

After watching Apollo 13, it really makes me want to see the From the Earth to the Moon on Blu-ray as some of the actors in Apollo 13 are in that HBO series.

I watched my UHD copy of Apollo 13 this afternoon, and swooned all over again at its brilliance. Picture and sound are superb, of course, but the movie's the thing, another one of those triumphant movies like 1776 and All the President's Men where we know what the end will be, and we're still on the edges of our seats to see how the impossible is going to be achieved.

I bought mine as a part of the 3 for 49.99 deal that Amazon is running. I found two other UHDs I wanted and didn't already have in any version.

As for the upgrade from Blu-ray, the only Blu-ray I had for Apollo 13 was the horrendous DNR-slathered remaster that was really unviewable. I have been using my HD-DVD copy when I wanted an Apollo 13 fix, but now I can put that one away and just see it in UHD.

Hey! I'm finally getting around to watching this, I'm halfway through. I had to call it quits for bed the other night right as Gregory from The Walking Dead showed up! Terrific update, not perfect but I am very happy. DTS-X tho.
