I am on a very tight budget for a large screen TV. Will this set(Apex GB4308, link to Walmart site below) take advantage of the Xbox output using component cables? We have a 27" Apex at home and have been pleased with it so far, but I have not seen any reviews of their large screens.

Does anyone know who actually makes the larger Apex units? I believe Samsung made the smaller tube based ones. Just wondering if its the same here.

I doubt Samsung makes any of them. Apex uses lowest bidder OEM outsourcing (usually Chinese) for manufacture

Samsung makes the Akai models that are found at Sams, not sure who makes Apex though, would be interesting to find out.
