Wondering if anyone has found or uses any type of profiler or cataloging software along the lines of DVD Profiler or Aficianado but for video games? Even something stand-alone to run on a pc would work. Don't want to build a database if something decent already exists out there. I'm primarily interested in Xbox (for now).

    Thanks in Advance.

There's a million dollar idea right there. [IMG]
I use the "Favorites" system they've got at http://www.gamerankings.com. It's a good place to see reviews, write your own, and keep track of the games you own.
They're loaded with PS2 fanboys though, so I stay away from the forums for the most part.

I made my own the other day, its not 100% finished but you can check it out:
    http://www.gigapowergaming.com/vg/index.php
Its an edit of a program called phpDVD, i haven't fully ported its use for videogames yet.
And BTW - that is far from my total collection thats just what I could remember one day at work while working on the script.

IGN just started a free service the other day. I posted a topic about it, with little interest.

    See my collection below.

Hmm, I had looked at the IGN site... looks like you need to be a paid member, I'll have to think about that... all this HTF is putting a big enough dent in the old wallet as it is.

    cool, thanks Dave!
FYI, you DO NOT need to be a paying member to use IGN's site... you just have to register your name (it's free)
    EDIT: CHECK IT OUT

I personally prefer something I can work on and edit myself and make it fit my needs.

I was considering doing the same myself... I like what you've done with yours, I was thinking something the same, although in VB and/or ASP.
Didn't realize you could do the IGN for free, off to check it out now. [IMG]
Edit: Nice... Thanks for the info on the IGN site... it works well! So far I just went with Xbox games and adding some PC ones from memory since I'm at work. List is in my sig.

    Blast from the past.
I was bored last night, almost every game I own is packed up for my upcoming move, so I created this:
Brian's list of games on IGN
It's not complete - there's a bunch of Saturn/PSX games I own not listed as I can't remember them offhand, and a bunch of games not in their database (no Jung Rhythym!). But it's a good start. Once I unpack in a couple of weeks, I'll catalogue it all properly I think & get IGN to add the missing games (of which there's quite a few).
Damn, wish I hadn't sold a bunch of PSX/Sat games when I moved over to the US... My Saturn collection was damn damn good. Needed the money though :-(

    BrianB,

I can't believe they have no Jung Rhythym!!!! What is this world coming too when they don't have Jung Rhythym on their list.

For those not in the know, Jung Rhythyn is a game similar to Parrapa that was released on the Saturn.

Exactly. How could anyone overlook the Saturn's Parappa?
