Anything better than the Onkyo TS-R600 and in the same price range? (1 Viewer)

I was looking for a receiver to go with Aperion audio 5.1 speakers, and they sell their packages with Onkyo, which, though I don't know too much about specifically, is supposed to be good. So could I go wrong with buying a TS-R600? It retails for 500 but they are selling it with the speakers for 400, so it seems like a pretty good deal. And upgrading to the 700 receiver (which they sell for $600) seems a little ridiculous when the speakers are only 1300. Thanks for any comments.

I've just purchased the 600 and am very pleased. I'm an Onkyo fan from way back (1976?). I upgraded from an Onkyo. I'm sure there are others who may suggest different brands but for the price and quality I don't think you can go wrong especially at $400. Good luck.
