I'm trying to figure out if I got a bad copy of this disc or not.

Does yours do the following:

1) Is there a noice and some color pixelation when the Professor's helicopter is landing?

2) When you manually skip chapters, is chapter 2 the point of the theme that introduces Joel?

3) When Arch Hall, Jr. tries to convince his girlfriend to stay with the buggy, is there a popping sound and what looks like a VHS tracking problem, when one of the robots says, "I'm whining you"?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you give time codes, that would help a lot. I have the disc, but I don't have the time to watch the entire movie yet again.

Yes. It is on mine. The display shows the time code at 34:39. Here is a screencap taken directly from the dvds VOB file for that section:




The screen cap doesn't do that pop justice. When I freeze framed it right on the pop there was a ton of video noise but it didn't come out in the cap.
