I have Paradigm Studio 20s and CC470 in front (v3). I am thinking of in-walls for surround and rear (mounting a normal speaker is not an option).

I noticed from the specs that the tweeter in Paradigm’s SA line is different from their Studio v3s. It appears the SAs use the older tweeter found in the Studio v2s.

I have heard the SA-25 and thought that was quite good but not as nice as the Studio 20s I have. I realize matching the fronts is important and matching the surrounds less so but would like to hear from others that may have this combo and see what they say.

In other words, if your system has a mix of SAs and Studios, v2 or v3, please comment on your experience and satisfaction with them. Thanks.

p.s. I emailed Paradigm and they will not say if they are revising their SA line anytime soon.

The tweeters are relatively similar, it is mostly the x-over that changed with the v3s. I helped a friend with his system recently with 20s/470 up front and 4 SA25s in the ceiling for rears and it sounds quite good. In-wall/ceiling are never the best option because you are pretty much stuck with where they are installed and you cannot experiment with placement unless you do some up front, but you don't have to worry too much about them not matching up with the rest of the Studios.
