Anyone use DVD Decrypter & DVD Shrink? (1 Viewer)

All of a sudden, the last 3 DVD's I tried to back up will not work(blank) when finished. Is it possible for the DVD burner in my computer to go bad, but it plays the original DVD fine? Or if the burner is bad, will the player be bad also? In DVD Shrink, under "Select Backup Target" should I choose 1) ISO Image File or 2) ISO Image File and burn with DVD Decrypter"? I think it's always been #1, but I'm not sure. I did try both settings and DVD comes out blank. Thanks for any advice.

Yes it is possible for the writer portion to die but still read discs. I had that happen on a CD-RW.
