Anyone use Avast! Antivirus (1 Viewer)

A friend of mine mentioned a freeware antivirus from the Czech Republic that is apparantly not well known but has a much smaller footprint than the bloated Norton and has better performance (recognizes more viruses).
The software is called AVAST! and is free for home use.
Anyone have any experience with it?

ZoneAlarm and Avast might make a great freeware couple. The price is certainly right.

Never used Avast. I use AVG, which is another free anti-virus program. Even scans incoming & outgoing e-mail.
