Bouncing around with the different 30/34" Widescreen sets, it seems the one to beat consistantly comes up this model. However, some of the things I have read (in particular A Samsung buyer review at Circuit City) lead me to believe that this set may 'lock in' some aspect ratios and not let you change them.

The Sony does allow you to set the aspect ratios with a 480i and 480p signals. It does lock into Full mode on 1080i signals.

    Bleh, ok then.

Now I'm looking at the 32" 4:3 set anyway, seems like it will give me the best of all worlds with console playing assuming it doesnt do any of that wacky locking...
