Ok, being the Home Theater Forum and all, I'd expect that at least some of us would be interested in this.
Creative Lab's EAX technology is used in Jedi Knight 2, although it's was not tested and not enabled by default. Anyone who plays with a 4 or 5 (or more) speaker system will want to try this.
You can enable EAX by going into the console (Shift+~) and typing "s_UseOpenAL 1" and restarting the game. I got this from http://www2.ravensoft.com/jedioutcast/faq.htm#eax
Alternatively, you can use this: http://tusclan.com/031702/modules.ph...article&sid=29
It works well, and I haven't found any real problems yet. I am hoping that a patch will "officially" add EAX Support.
3D Sound in games REALLY adds a dimension to gameplay that is sorely missed without it. I'm sure some of you other HTF gamers will agree.

Yeah, I play a lot of PC games through my HT. I have my computer hooked up through my Toshiba 56H80 using a GeForce3 through a VGA->Component breakout box. And thus, I have hooked up the sound (which I guess winds up being 4.0 in my case) through my receiver. EAX definately adds a lot to my gaming experience. Counterstrike definately benefits from it.
