It has a new Lucy Lawless series, Murder is my Life, my wife it interested in. It doesn’t cost much and they’ve got David Suchet as Poirot.

Long time Acorn subscriber. Rarely any streaming problems and they have quite an interesting content mix. IMDB reviews on Lawless series make it look a bit iffy.

I have not tried Acorn but Britbox is nice. They have a $69/yr option as well.

Signed up for the free 7-day trial. First thing we watched was Suchet’s Murder on the Orient Express. It was quite good. Next will be the Lawless series. I suppose there’s no overlap between Britbox and Acorn?

None that I am aware of. I have the annual subscription to BritBox and it gets a good work out in my house (being from England and having grown up there means I enjoy all the classic shows). I’ve considered Acorn but once I picked BritBox I couldn’t justify both.

This is the problem with the streaming model. So many of them, but so little money to pay for subscriptions. It just can’t be done.

Acorn has all of Suchet’s Poirot, but Britbox has others. I guess one could watch Acorn for a while, cancel, and go to Britbox.
