Anyone seen these MBL Speakers before

    On the mbl's, those are all custom designed and manufactured drivers. Seriously cool [​IMG]

    Their 300Es are one of the best cone speakers I've ever heard...

    Is the 300E even better than the Onix REF2?

    I’ll be pretty interested in what Sean has to say by way of comparison, David.

    AV123 had both the 300E and Ref 2 in Dallas. I suppose that I must admit that I preferred the MBL (which was also, IIRC, hooked up to some very high-end electronics). But they also cost about $7,000 more than the Refs.

    It would be a pretty easy choice on my budget.

    Oh yes the 300Es are better...they should be at $12,500! They also had about $20K of electronics hooked up to them at the Dallas show [​IMG]

    When I had them, I was powering them with the mbl 7008 integrated (~$6K), a $200 Sony 755 and the Perpetual Technologies P1A and P3A ($1900).

    i heard the 300e's in dallas also...some of the best ive heard ever...very impressive...very stout speaker
