I went to five different local stores looking but could not find it. Did it actually come out on 10/9?

Last week Amazon showed a release date of October 9th so I went to Best Buy in the hopes of finding a copy. The salesman there checked on his computer. It showed that it was slipped at Best Buy to October 30th.
Amazon still shows it as available now but I doubt if that is correct.

I went to 10 different stores, but finally found the only copy under 'B' in the Sci-Fi section at Circuit City (only $15.99 too). Media Play even said it wasn't on their release schedule at all. This kind of got me worrying, but CC is right next door, and sure enough, there it was. I was waiting a long time for it, but trust me. It was definately worth it.

Thanks for starting this thread, I was wondering about this myself.
As far as Best Buy's release dates go, they are often late on the "B" titles. They "slow boat" the new releases to reduce shipping charges, perhaps even reduce the wholesale cost. I see this all the time. It doesn't necessarily mean that it's not available in other stores.
$15.99 at Circuit City is a tad high. Everyone else is showing $12.99-$14.99 on Timerider!
I thought it was funny that I could find Beastmaster already (even if it was missing the 16-page booklet advertised on the back), but could not find Timerider in stock.

Yeah, I saw the $14.99 price at Amazon, but you figure with shipping, $15.99 is a pretty good price.
