Anyone remember what the first day & date DVD release was? (1 Viewer)

With all of the hype from the Lord of the Rings DVD release, I was trying to recall what was the very first DVD to be release day and date with the vhs.

When DVD was new, I remember always having to wait a few months after the the vhs for the dvd.

My guess is the Jerry Maguire DVD.

Actually, no. It was THE GLIMMER MAN, which was, in fact, one of the initial 25 titles from Warner Brothers on that chilly March day in 1997.
