The other day one of the radio stations I listen to played a part of the song that David Bowie sings at the end as Sara is chasing him through the Labyrinth. Man did that bring back memories. So I went out, bought the DVD, and watched it for the first time in years last night. Man what was Jim Henson thinking. That has to be one of the oddest, funniest movies out there. Especially when muppets start removing their arms and legs and singing that song. I was literally on the floor laughing. Anyone else find that movie interesting? This is one that definitely is a must see.

I love this movie. Does kind of seem like they were all taking mind altering drugs while making it though.

I was discussing it last night - the discussion was prompted by the fact that David Bowie is in town tonight for a concert.

It was a great and bizarre film. My favourite part is the scene with a hands. My favourite joke is the caterpillar that tells her which path not to take.

Yeah, its a fun and creative film, a real gem. The only disturbing aspect is Bowie's pants. I wish we had a little bit more "coverage" than the spandex is giving us. [IMG]

It's a great fantasy film with lots of cute jokes and interesting images.

"Generous? What have you done that is generous?"

"Everything! Everything that you have wanted, I have done. YOu asked that the child be taken. I took him. You cowered before me. I was frightening. I have reordered time. I have turned the world upside down... and I have done it all for you. I'm exhausted from living up to your expectations of me. Isn't that generous?"

One of the single best scenes ever. This film is in my top 5.

I the top 10 for me.

Smart, and funny, and when you get JC you can't go wrong.

Favorite scenes are the ones with Bowie.

"Love me, fear me, do as I say and I will be your slave."

My friends and I just had a marathon last weekend consisting of "Labyrinth," "Dark Crystal," and "Return to Oz."

I love Bowie but never liked this movie much. Too much forced whimsy, not enough real charm. Some good scenes with the non-human characters and occasional Python-esque laughs, but it remains just another rehash of The Wizard of Oz to me. But since Bowie's The Man, it'll always remain in my collection!

The 12" remix of "Magic Dance" is EXCELLENT. It's a terrific reworking of the tune that's much better than the movie version...
