I was surfing around for gift ideas for the Mrs... and came across THIS SITE.
I was wondering if anyone owns a slot machine for leisure. I thought it might be kind of fun to have in the rec-room.
Can you set the pay-outs on it? I realize it's not the same as being at a casino because it's your own money, but, it might be fun to thow my loose change in there at the end of a day.
Anyone have any comments on owning a slot machine?

Wait.. I just noticed you need tokens to play it. Ah well, it still might be a fun conversation piece.

Can you convert 'em to use quarters? Probably not legally, eh?

Quarters are legal as long as its for personal use. One of my friends owns one (old mechanical unit) and it sees frequent use (he has a cup of quarters for "free" play). I don't know if you can convert the machine but I do know that the payout is fixed. I'm sure some higher end machines offer more adjustments...

Make sure they're legal to own in your state/community...

I wouldn't mind one of those kickass Wheel of Fortune slot machines that I got hooked on in Vegas.

I know several people that 'should' own them, well, at least they've paid for them anyway.

    I don't, but want one.

My friends parents have an old 60's or 70's slot machine.

If I ever do get one, I would LOVE to get one of the newer Elvis slots, those are really fun to play and have great bonus games, plus the video screen that plays some of his songs when you hit a jackpot or a good bonus.

Don't own a slot machine, but I used to have a truck which had the same statistical odds of cranking as a person does hitting the jackpot. [IMG]
