I'm looking for a volume control not designed for in-wall apps. All the ones I see that handle one pair of speakers are made to go in-wall. Someone I know wants to 'set and forget' his 'B' speakers relative to the main pair in another room.
I'd like to be able to place it right next to the receiver and be somewhat inconspicuous. All the ones like that are designed for multiple pairs of speaker switching. I could use one of those, but size and cost are factors.

Thanks for any thoughts.

If you google "tabletop volume control" you'll get a bunch of hits. Here are a few:

Niles Audio TVC-1
Speakercraft VBX
RUSSOUND TBL75
AudioPlex TVC200
