Not looking to buy some expensive software but it would be cool to make my own. Just wondered if it's possible and feasible to make a true type font?

Otherwise, are there people who could make one for you on the internet?

    Cheers

    Does Macromedia still make Fontographer?
    Edit: Yes the do.

$349 though so I guess that qualifies as expensive software. However, a quick perusal of eBay shows they sell anywhere from $30-100 depending on platform.

I've messed around with Fontographer a while back at one of my old companies. The easiest way is to use an established font as a base for your own font. I'm not sure about the legal ramifications though. Creating from scratch just seemed too much trouble for some novice just playing around like me.
