I remember them and I am 26 but it was as Jay stated the next day they showed us the calculators so we never really used them. Funny but my High school Chemistry/Physics instructor could beat us calculating complex Physics equations with his slide rule and we were using advanced graphing calcs. :frowning:
Then again he is probably the smartest person I have met in my life. :)

I've never seen a proper log book as such, but our math books did have a few basic log tables in the appendix.
I no longer have it. My appendix was removed when I was seventeen. :D

I'm 33, I know what log tables are, although I'm a math nut. I've never seen just a book of log tables, though. I've only seen them in the back of math text books, or a chapter of them in a math reference book.
Weird little factoid: know what they used *before* logs came around? Sine and Cosine, using a formula like sin(A)*cos(B) = (1/2)sin(A+B) + (1/2)sin(A-B).
