Someone posted the following link about a Panasonic DVD-RA60 DVD-Audio player over on the Music Area board:
    http://www.thewiz.com/wiz/app/CeProd...=CeMain%3Fnull
The Wiz is selling the 'RA60 for only $230. I thought at first they meant the 'RP61, which was supposedly cancelled. However, the 'RP61 was supposed to sell for about $300, and there is no mention of progressive-scan capability with the 'RA60. Has anyone heard or seen this model? Does it exist?

It's a brand new release. There is no mention of progressive scan because it does not have that feature.

Somewhere I read there (either here or avs) that there was supposed to be a replacement player for the RP-61 that wasn't progressive, because that's where their problem was. This must be the one.

It's a model that is exclusive to the WIZ chain. I might get it just to jump into DVD-A at a low price...

Anyone got any specs on it? Like the 61 or 91? It's not listed on the Pan site.

Basically a DVDRV31 that has DVD-Audio. Due to not releasing the DVDRP61, they opted to see if their dealers were interested in an interlaced DVD-Audio player, hence the DVDAV60 [IMG]

J&R lists it for sale too--although not in stock yet.
