Not that this is a high-quality HT device, but the principle looks extremely interesting. Basically, any flat surface can be turned into a speaker (table, window, etc.) They are rolling this out at CeBit this week; I believe it will be in stores in April. I have no idea on price, but their web site promotion video seems to be targeting teens, so I wouldn't expect it is too expensive.
So, how much low bass could you get out of your patio window? I have no association with this product or company, but if any admins feel this is the wrong place to post this please move or delete it at will.

Devices like this aren't new. A different version is rolled out by some company every 5-10yrs. All have really poor sonics.
