"Secret Admirer" (C.Thomas Howell, Kelly Preston)

Has anyone heard of a possible DVD release for this movie.

This is another guilty pleasure movie for me and my wife, and we just wanted to know if anyone has any info.

Gosh, I thought I was the only person who appreciated this clever little gem of a movie.

The subplots involving the parents (Fred Ward, Dee Wallace Stone) are priceless.

I always thought this "throwaway" teen movie had a surprisingly well-written script.

Very under-rated. I'd buy the DVd in a heartbeat!

In fact, a few months ago I finally tracked down a copy of the laserdisc, albeit it's pan & scan.

    I LOVE THIS FILM.

I love the scene between Fred Ward and C. Tomas Howell.

    Thomas: Good evening Mr. Fimple!

    Ward: F**K YOU!

Not only is this a guilty pleasure film for me/us.

I consider it fantastic and I love it. I would put it on my top 10-15 list.

I love it when the mom (Dee Wallace Stone) suspects her husband of cheating and when C. Thomas Howell asks her what's wrong, she kind of plays it off and says, crying "It's that damn mailman. He said he'd be here by 8:30 and he isn't! Doesn't anybody keep their word anymore!" and then she storms off crying.

So then C. Thomas Howell answers the door to find the mailman, and says "My mother is in there crying right now because of you and I hope you're happy!"

Another great Fred Ward line, to his daughter's boyfriend:

"What are you curling these days, besides your hair?"

I like this movie too. There are a lot of teen comedies from the 80's that are guilty pleasures. Fred Ward is the man-what a great name for a character(Lt. Lou Fimple).[IMG] I also thought that Casey Siemaszko(the lead in the great 'Three O'Clock High') stole every scene that he was in. It's amazing, C.Thomas Howell was considered a rising young star in the eighties. Now you can see him every other night in a direct to video POS on skinemax.

This was our first look at Lori Loughlin also. I thought the soundtrack was a good one too.

That mailman scene was a classic.
