how is the picture quality from 10 feet?
when viewing DVDs, Directv both HD and standard channels? Does it stretch 4:3 video, if so how well does it stretch? I watch a lot of 4:3 shows either via Directv or DVD

Also how does it handle non-anamorphic DVDs?

is burn in an issue?

Please answer any questions I've overlooked. ;)

Hi James

I've had the 65H84 since last October. Picture quality from 10 feet is great on HD, DVD and even good quality cable. I do not have satellite so I cannot comment. As expected, on poor quality cable signals, picture quality is fair at best. When I did have satellite with my 35 inch tube, picture quality also varied from channel to channel with some channels being only fair at best.

There are 3 different stretch modes. I think they cover the range of possibilities. Each one is a compromise in one way or another. After using stretch mode for the first several months, I have now chosen to watch 4:3 in the natural (4:3) mode. The 51 inch diagonal picture is big enough from 10 feet.

All DVDs look excellent.

Burn in has not been an issue.

If you have any other specific questions, please feel free to ask.
